Former Trump advisor Bannon indicted for fraud: NY prosecutors

Published by

Donald Trump’s former advisor Steven Bannon was charged Thursday with money laundering and fraud for allegedly misappropriating millions of dollars donated for the construction of a wall between the United States and Mexico.

“It is a crime to turn a profit by lying to donors, and in New York, you will be held accountable,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg told a press conference as he unveiled the charges against Bannon and a nonprofit called We Build the Wall, which raised about $15 million to fulfil Trump’s campaign promise.
