Fulton high school stabbing: 2 students injured, 3 in custody

Officials said two students were injured in stabbing incident at a Fulton County high school on Wednesday morning.

A fight broke out between students around 9 a.m. at Banneker High School near Union City, according to a Fulton County Schools spokesperson. The injuries sustained by the two students were not life-threatening.

According to the spokesperson, three students were detained. Officials have not released their names or stated whether or not they have been charged.

While school administrators and police investigated the stabbing, the high school was placed on lockdown.

A Fulton County Schools spokesperson issued the following written statement:

“Two students sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an altercation involving a stabbing on campus. Fulton County Schools police were on site and a lockdown was initiated while school administrators and police initiated an investigation. Three students were taken into custody.”
