Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said Tuesday she was “committed to fundamentally reinforce” Japan’s defence capabilities, noting her nation faces “unprecedented” security dangers.
Speaking alongside US President Donald Trump on board the USS George Washington near Tokyo, she said Japan was facing “an unprecedented severe security environment”.
