Prosecutors in Kosovo said Friday that over 100 election staff had been arrested over “falsification of election results” in a direct attempt to “subvert” last month’s national vote.
A full recount and a criminal investigation had been ordered into the Balkan nation’s general election earlier this week following reports of inaccuracies in the tallies.
“We are talking about an organisation and a direct intention to subvert the results and the will of the citizens,” Prizren prosecutor Petrit Kryeziu told media.
