According to Pakistan’s local news report, at least two children were admitted to a hospital after a restaurant in Lahore allegedly served acid bottles during birthday celebrations.

The complainant claimed in the FIR filed at the Lari Adda Police Station that on September 27, the family went to a restaurant inside Greater Iqbal Park to celebrate his birthday.

The complainant stated that after dinner, a guest used one of the restaurant’s water bottles to wash his son’s hands. The child began screaming as soon as the water was poured over his hand, according to Samaa TV.

Around the same time, another child drank from one of the bottles and passed out after vomiting. When the child vomited on one of the relatives who was caring for the child, he developed blisters on his hands.

According to the victims’ family, both children were taken to the hospital.

The police arrested the restaurant manager and began an investigation.
