Macron extends Algeria trip to sign ‘partnership’ deal: Elysee

French President Emmanuel Macron will extend his visit to Algeria to sign a “renewed partnership” deal on Saturday with his counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune as the two seek to overcome months of tensions.

Macron, who heads to the western city of Oran on Friday, will head back to the capital “to sign … a joint declaration for a renewed, concrete and ambitious partnership”, the French presidency said
