French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said that it was “not good” for Germany to isolate itself in Europe, singling out Berlin for its opposition to proposals to bring down energy prices in the EU.

“I don’t think it’s good for Germany or for Europe if it isolates itself,” he said on his arrival in Brussels for a European summit dominated by the crisis caused by soaring energy prices.
