Oil prices tumble 12%

The drop in oil prices accelerated on Wednesday, with the price of the main international oil contract falling by more than 12 percent.

Brent was down by 12.4 percent to $112.15 per barrel at 1849 GMT, while the main US contract, WTI, tumbled 11.4 percent to $109.59 per barrel.
