NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said Finland joining the military alliance on Tuesday showed Russian President Vladimir Putin had failed to stop it accepting new members.
“President Putin wanted to slam NATO’s door shut. Today we show the world that he failed, that aggression and intimidation do not work,” Stoltenberg said.
