Newly confirmed US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. accused the nation’s health institutions of “stealing the health of our children” and suggested they should meet the same fate as USAID, which has come under heavy fire under President Donald Trump’s administration.

During his White House swearing-in ceremony, RFK Jr. pushed back against criticism of his vaccine skepticism, saying his views had been mischaracterized and claimed he was only advocating for “common sense” policies.

“Vaccines should be tested, they should be safe, everyone should have informed consent,” he said.
