Talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States opened in Abu Dhabi on Friday, the UAE foreign minister said, the first time the sides are known to have met face-to-face to discuss a US plan to end the nearly four-year war.
“The talks commenced today in Abu Dhabi and are scheduled to continue over two days,” Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed said in a statement.
