Russian lawmaker says West benefits from Navalny death

Kremlin says Navalny widow lost 'ties to motherland'

Russia’s top lawmaker on Friday said that Western leaders benefitted from the death of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny because they were “losing” the battle in Ukraine.

Western leaders “who have made a huge number of failed decisions and cling to their positions benefit from his death,” said parliament speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, without elaborating.
