Snoop Dogg says he has decided to ‘give up smoke’

Snoop Dogg give up smoke

In a surprising twist, Snoop Dogg, the renowned American rapper and one of the most prolific smokers globally, has declared that he has decided to give up smoke.

Snoop Dogg says he’s quitting smoking but the internet does not believe him

“I’m giving up smoke,” Snoop Dogg wrote on Twitter and Instagram “After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

The post from Snoop Dogg received a plethora of responses.

Snoop’s unexpected announcement has shocked many of his fans globally. Some think it might be a prank, while others support his decision, seeing it as a positive and healthy choice.

Fans have even expressed doubt about the confession, with some speculating if it was merely a publicity stunt for a new business venture involving edibles.

In response to his post, one person wrote, “Not buying this for a second. Snoop edibles on the way. Dogg Treats™ or something like that probably. (But congrats to the legend if this is sincere you’ve more than put your work in. We’re hanging your grinder in the rafters).”

In March, Snoop admitted he had moderated his weed intake after becoming a grandfather

Back in March, when talking to DailyMail.com, Snoop mentioned that people started looking closely at his own marijuana use when his oldest child, Cordé, became a dad to his son Zion in 2015.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” he said.

“The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with because I want to see my grandkids grow old.”

The rapper has four kids – Cordé, 28, Cordell, 26, and Cori, 23, from his long 25-year marriage to Shante Broadus, and Julian, 25, from a past relationship with Laurie Holmond.

Back in 2013, Snoop spilled the beans in a Twitter Q&A, saying he smokes about 81 blunts every day. That matches up with what his personal joint roller estimated. Renegade Piranha, said to be Snoop’s ‘personal blunt roller’ said last year: “On average, I do about half a pound a day, which seems excessive.”

In 2015, the rapper started his own thing called Merry Jane. It’s like a cool website about the weed lifestyle, where you can find info whether you’re a casual user or someone who smokes every day.
