Finland is investigating a damaged fibre-optic cable connecting it with Sweden, with Stockholm suspecting an act of “sabotage”, officials said Tuesday.

“The Finnish police are investigating what happened and, given the circumstances, sabotage is suspected,” Swedish Civil Defence Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin said in a message to AFP, while Finland’s communications minister said “The authorities are investigating the matter in collaboration with the company”.
