US electric carmaker Tesla said Tuesday that an act of sabotage that knocked out power to its German factory and forced it to halt production would cost the company several hundred million euros.

Andre Thierig, who manages the plant south of Berlin, estimated damages caused by the arson attack on power lines near the site would be in the “high, nine-figure area”.
