Thailand’s parliament on Friday confirmed conservative construction magnate Anutin Charnvirakul to serve as the nation’s new prime minister.
Anutin won 311 votes, securing a comfortable majority of the 492 MPs in the National Assembly’s lower house, official final results showed.
“Parliament approves Anutin Charnvirakul to become prime minister,” Deputy House Speaker Chalad Khamchuang said.
