Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday said Ukraine had “no reason to yield” to Russia in any potential peace talks, adding that his government would defend Ukrainian interests.

“Ukraine has no reason to yield. Ukraine is the victim of aggression. It’s Russia that needs to come to its senses … I am sure that Ukraine will take part — and has to — in all conversations regarding its future. But we will above all make sure that none of these talks will lead to unfair decisions,” Tusk told reporters on a visit to Ukraine.
