Ukraine’s embattled frontline town of Avdiivka is in danger of being captured by Russian forces, the White House said Thursday, urging the US House to pass vital military aid for Kyiv.

“Unfortunately, we’re getting reports from the Ukrainians that the situation is critical, with the Russians continuing to press Ukrainian positions every single day. Avdiivka is at risk of falling into Russian control,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
