US, UK, France urge citizens to leave DR Congo's Goma

The UK, US and France have urged their citizens to leave Goma, the main city in the volatile east of DRCongo encircled by fierce fighting between the Congolese army and the M23 group.

Authorities in the three countries asked nationals to “depart to a safer location while airports and borders are still open” in online statements or in messages sent directly by email or SMS, warning that the situation could decline rapidly.
