US Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday said Washington would “keep on working” to try to end the Ukraine war, sparked more than four years ago when Russia invaded the country.

“What the president has said is it’s the hardest war to solve. In some ways we thought it would be the easiest, but it has been the hardest,” Vance said during a visit to Budapest, insisting there has been “significant progress”.
