US, Vietnam sign deal on semiconductor supply chains

The United States and Vietnam signed a deal on semiconductor supply chains on Sunday, the White House said in a statement, to help “expand capacity in reliable partners”.

“A newly-signed memorandum of cooperation on semiconductor supply chains… will formalise this bilateral partnership to expand the capacity of the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam, in support of US industry,” the statement said.
