US Vice President JD Vance on Friday urged European countries to “change course” on immigration in a speech in Munich, a day after an Afghan man was arrested in the city over a car-ramming attack.

“How many times must we suffer these appalling setbacks before we change course and take our shared civilisation in a new direction?” Vance said after the attack, which wounded 36 people.
