VIDEO: Fire breaks out Amirkabir Petrochemical facility in Mahshahr, Iran

A fire has been reported at the Amirkabir Petrochemical factory in Mahshahr, Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan. Footage showed thick black smoke billowing from the affected area. According to reports, the fire started at the chemical storage area.

The governor of Mahshahr stated that firefighting operations have recently been carried out, as per reports from Iran.

The cause of the accident has yet to be determined. According to Tehran Times, Amir Kabir Petrochemical Co.’s LLD unit caught fire.
