Videos and photos posted on social media show a massive explosion at a plant of the National Explosives Company, Enaex near Calama in Chile.
Enaex is the largest producer of explosive-grade ammonium nitrate in Latin America.
Enaex plant’s employees were evacuated after the explosion. South access to the city was cut off. Authorities have enabled secondary road for the passage of vehicles.
Local media reports that there are injuries, still no reports if any pollutants were released in the environment.
Governor of the state María Jopia confirms that there are no deaths after an explosion in Calama.

The massive smoke after explosion was spotted from far away. One of the residents from a residential area nearby video recorded the explosion.
