The video, which was taken as the president was saying goodbye to embassy staff and their families at the Helsinki-Vantaan International Airport before boarding Air Force One, shows Biden leaning towards the young girl and lightly placing his mouth on her shoulder.

The girl seemed frightened by the encounter and turned her head when Biden attempted to give her a kiss on the head. The onlookers seem to smile at the encounter while the child’s mother took out her phone to capture the moment.

The footage quickly spread on social media, with many users criticizing the president for his unusual behavior.

“In Finland, Biden wanted to do something for the baby. The baby disliked Biden,” wrote one user.

While some think the president was being cute and playful, others wrote that he was being “creepy” and this was “pedo behavior.”

Republican operative Greg Price made fun of him and said that Biden is “now confusing babies with ice cream cones.”

Responding to the footage Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, “Biden should be in a nursing home, not leading the free world.”

“Keep your kids away from Joe Biden. Gross,” another person while sharing a video about the incident.

Biden was attending a summit in Lithuania to show support for Ukraine

The president’s recent actions raised eyebrows as he wrapped up a five-day trip to Europe. During this trip, he attended a summit in Lithuania to show support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and also highlighted Finland’s NATO membership.

Unfortunately, Biden made several verbal mistakes during the trip. While addressing the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, on Wednesday, he mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “Vladmir,” seemingly mixing him up with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Without realizing his error, Biden continued speaking and then acknowledged that he “shouldn’t be so familiar” and referred to Zelenskyy as “Mr. Zelenskyy.”
