Starting on December 23rd, the second phase of Genshin Impact’s 6.2 banners will begin! The banners are rerunning old fan-favorites like Varesa and Xilonen, along with a plethora of others. Here are all the characters available in the upcoming banners.

🥧 The Cornucopia of Contention
Varesa’s banner, the Cornucopia of Contention, is unique in having a bunch of 5-star characters available. While Varesa is the featured character to wish for, you can also place your bets on at least 8 other 5-stars! Also, there is a 50% chance to pull Varesa after pulling a 5-star character. 🥊 Why Pull Varesa?
Varesa is one of the strongest Main DPS characters in Genshin Impact right now. Her fighting style is unique in that she utilizes Plunging damage. Her kit has been considered part of the meta for a lot of players. This is thanks to her high damage output ceiling, especially when paired with the right builds and team synergies. Because of her Plunging style, she can easily avoid damage through dodging attacks seamlessly. She’s even great at traversing the world with Nightsoul Transmission!
The only downsides to Varesa are things that may throw off players. For example, because she’s a Plunging attacker, she doesn’t have the same elemental reactions like Melt or Vaporize. All her power comes from physical damage, so this simplification can throw off synergies. Speaking of which, she doesn’t have a lot of weapon choices that synergize other than her signature. This takes away some versatility, but she’s worth grabbing for her sheer raw power alone!

🌟 All 5-Star Character Drops
Besides Varesa, you can also wish for 8 other 5-star characters on this banner. At first, you might think that having more 5-star options decreases the chances of getting Varesa. However, any first 5-star you pull guarantees Varesa on the next wish. In our opinion, characters like Jean and Mona are worth grabbing as strong Support and Sub-DPS role-fillers.

Next are the 4-star characters, which have a similar system to pulling 5-stars. There are two featured figures. These are the Pyro duo, Chevreuse and Gaming, along with the Electro user Iansan. If a player pulls a 4-star character, then their next wish will guarantee one of these two featured characters. Otherwise, there’s a 50% chance to pull them on your first try! As for recommendations, there’s a lot of quality picks.

🔥 The Forgefire’s Blessing Banner
Just like Varesa’s banner, Xilonen has the same 5-star characters returning in rotation. Despite Xilonen being another rerun, this is great for players that missed out on pulling her last time. She’s been around for a while but still remains strong in the Genshin cast. The same rules apply with every pull having a guarantee for a 5-star character. You can easily grab both features this phase!
Why Pull Xilonen?
Xilonen is another top-rated character, but this time as a Support. Her biggest perk is that she can deal heavy amounts of Elemental Resistance Shred on enemies. This works great for just about any Elemental team without needing to invest a whole lot to her build. She even has some Sub-DPS capabilities with Burst Skills too! Combine that with some extra heals, and she’s an incredibly well-rounded Supporter.
The only real downsides to Xilonen are minimal. For example, the main investment you’d be making is reaching C6 in her Constellations. Until then, her healing is single-targeted. Other than that, the major thing to remember is who to place on your team. To activate Xilonen’s Elemental Shred and Burst, you must have at least two other characters who aren’t Geo on the team. Follow that and you’re good to go!

Just like with Varesa’s banner, Xilonen is paired with some other 5-star guests. These guests are also the same as those on the last banner, so it’s easier to pull for a specific character you want. The same rules apply for pulling a guaranteed 5-star, so take your chances now!
