X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced what appears to be a widespread outage, leaving the platform inaccessible for many users.
Message users seeing on their screens:
Posts aren’t loading right now
Both the website and mobile app failed to load, with visitors encountering blank screens. Some users were shown Cloudflare error messages, although the disruption was attributed to X itself and did not seem related to the recent Cloudflare issues that previously took the platform offline.
Unlike some past outages where the site loads but displays no posts, X was largely unreachable this time.
Outage-tracking service Down Detector recorded a sharp increase in problem reports at around 3pm in the UK, or 10am Eastern Time in the US.
The disruption appeared to affect users globally and across all access points, including the website and mobile applications.
Unlike many other major platforms, X does not provide a public status page to update users on outages or technical problems. While it does maintain a status page for developers, that page indicated during the disruption that “all systems are operational.”
