On Tuesday morning, a fire broke out at an industrial site in Medley, Florida, causing the death of two individuals and injuring three others.

NBC Miami reported that the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called to the scene in the 11300 block of Northwest South River Drive around 8.30 a.m.

Smoke from the fire was visible from Broward County, and several vehicles, including a fuel carrier, were engulfed in flames.

According to reports, the fire started when sparks from acetylene used for welding ignited. Although this was not confirmed.

A huge ball of fire that was rising into the air from the business was seen on a nearby camera near Okeechobee Road.

Once fire officials monitored the flames, video footage showed a truck half burned.

Officials have also claimed that numerous vehicles have been set on fire and that the fire’s ominous dark smoke can be seen from miles away.
According to reports, local authorities are also monitoring the air quality.

On the scene, there were two confirmed fatalities. For minor burns, a fourth victim will be taken to Palmetto General Hospital, local news channel WSVN stated.

Roads were blocked off while firefighters put out the fire, but they have since been reopened.

Due to downed power lines, Florida Power and Light was called to the scene.

The fire was extinguished by 10 am: reports

While firefighters battled to put out the flames, several cars appeared to be destroyed even though the fire appeared to be contained to one particular business.

By about 10 a.m., the fire was extinguished, according to multiple reports.

Two bodies were at the scene, covered in yellow tarps, as seen in the video. Officials with Miami-Dade Police confirmed that a death investigation was ongoing.

More details about the casualties have not been disclosed yet.

Five patients, according to fire rescue officials. One was transported by air, the other by ground, to a nearby trauma center, while a third was attended to on the spot.

The release of more details about the fire was also delayed.
