US President Joe Biden left Vietnam on Monday after a 24-hour visit to deepen political and economic engagement as the two countries fret about rising Chinese influence.

Air Force One departed Hanoi’s international airport to take Biden to Anchorage, Alaska, where he will take part in a memorial for the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
