Blasts were heard Tuesday in the Armenian separatist stronghold of Stepanakert in Azerbaijan’s breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh, an AFP reporter said, after Baku announced the launch of “anti-terrorist measures”.
Karabakh is internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan but largely populated by ethnic Armenians.
