Burger King emailed blank order receipt to thousands of customers

Published by

Burger King, an international fast food chain, has sent a blank order email receipt to thousands or millions of customers, leaving them perplexed.

According to The Verge, the blank emails began appearing around 12.15 a.m., leaving Burger King customers unsure whether the company had been breached by a hungry hacker attempting a midnight feast or if the emails were simply a giant whopper of a mistake.

Users quickly took to Twitter to express their confusion about the blank emails, with some receiving two Burger King emails in an apparent double whopper of a mistake.

According to the report, the order emails are completely blank and were sent from Burger King’s main promotional marketing email address.

However, there is no clear evidence that Burger King has been violated.

According to the report, many of those who received the emails did not even create a Burger King account, so it could simply be a system change gone wrong that blasted out blank orders to Burger King’s entire marketing database.
