VIDEO: Dubai ends lockdown as UAE Coronavirus cases reach 10,349

Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announced on Sunday that Dubai has lifted 24-hour movement restrictions in two districts of the city, Al-Ras and Naif.

The videos of people rejoicing the end of ‘Dubai lockdown’ appeared over the internet right after the news broke.

According to the local reports, the plan to lift restrictions on movement comes as both commercial districts recorded no coronavirus cases in the last two days. Residents of both the districts displayed pleasure and rejoiced the end of lockdown.

Restrictions on public movement, however, will stay in place between 10 pm and 6 am — as is the case across the rest of the city’s districts.

The Supreme Committee commended the residents for their understanding and cooperation.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) on Sunday announced a total number of 10,349 Coronavirus cases and 76 total deaths resulting from the COVID-19 virus in the UAE.
