Elon Musk strongly criticized the US Virgin Islands for their efforts to subpoena him as a part of their legal action against JPMorgan Chase, regarding the bank’s involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking network.

Elon Musk criticizes subpoena as ‘idiotic’ in connection to JPMorgan’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein

“This is idiotic on so many levels,” Musk wrote in a tweet on Monday in response to news of the subpoena. The Twitter boss called Epstein a “cretin.” He added that it’s “absurd” for him to “need or listen to financial advice from a dumb crook.”

Regarding the subpoena, the US Virgin Islands now suggests that Musk might be among the “high net-worth individuals who Epstein may have referred or attempted to refer to JPMorgan.” The subpoena was submitted to the District Court for the Southern District of NY on April 28.

Expressing his views on Twitter, Musk outlined three reasons why he considers the subpoena to be “idiotic.”

“1. That cretin never advised me on anything whatsoever.

“2. The notion that I would need or listen to financial advice from a dumb crook is absurd.

“3. JPM let Tesla down ten years ago, despite having Tesla’s global commercial banking business, which we then withdrew. I have never forgiven them,” he tweeted.

JPMorgan refused to give a statement to The Post.

Virgin Islands struggles to locate Elon Musk for subpoena delivery in legal battle

The compliance of Musk with the subpoena remained uncertain, the NY Post reported. The legal representatives of the Virgin Islands informed a federal judge that they have been unable to locate Musk in order to deliver the subpoena to him.

Moreover, the Virgin Islands is facing challenges in subpoenaing Larry Page, the co-founder of Google. The lawyers of the Virgin Islands are now seeking to serve the subpoena to Tesla Inc., the electric vehicle company owned by Musk, as an alternative, according to The Post.

No public accusations have been made against the 51-year-old regarding his involvement or association with Epstein’s operation of sexually exploiting underage girls and young women, alongside his then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.

In 2014, Musk and Maxwell were photographed together at a Vanity Fair Oscar party. The billionaire refuted any knowledge of Epstein’s associate and claimed that she had merely “photobombed” the picture.
