Elon Musk Calls George Soros “Magneto,” Says His Son Is “Mini Magneto”

Elon Musk has once again taken aim at billionaire investor and Democratic megadonor George Soros, referring to him as “Magneto” while calling his son, Alex Soros, “Mini Magneto.”

In a post shared on X on Thursday, Musk wrote, “Soros is Magneto and his son is Mini Magneto.” The remark came in response to a post highlighting George Soros’ political donations during the 2026 U.S. midterm election cycle.

The original post claimed that Soros is the largest individual donor of the 2026 election cycle, contributing $102 million to Democratic candidates and causes. It included a graphic citing The Washington Post as the source and identified Soros as the top individual political donor so far in the cycle.

Musk’s comparison appears to reference Magneto, the powerful Marvel Comics character known for his immense influence and his willingness to pursue controversial methods in pursuit of his goals. By calling Alex Soros “Mini Magneto,” Musk seemingly extended the comparison to George Soros’ son, who now chairs the Open Society Foundations and has become an increasingly prominent figure in Democratic politics and philanthropy.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has frequently criticized George Soros in recent years, accusing him of exerting outsized political influence through his financial backing of progressive causes. Soros, meanwhile, has long been one of the most significant donors to Democratic campaigns and liberal organizations in the United States.

Musk’s latest post quickly drew widespread attention on X, with supporters and critics alike weighing in on the comparison. The exchange adds to the long-running public feud between the billionaire entrepreneur and the Soros family, whose political involvement has often been the subject of debate.

Neither George Soros nor Alex Soros had publicly responded to Musk’s latest remarks at the time of writing.

On a whim, he moved to China, and in his first week following a triumphant pub quiz victory, he found himself bleeding on the floor based on his arrogance. While primarily lecturing in descriptive and comparative statistics, Brendan simultaneously earned an Msc in Banking and International Finance from the University of Wales-Bangor.
