If you woke up to the notification of your Instagram account suspension, you’re not alone. Multiple users reported Instagram outages on Monday and said their accounts were disabled without a reason. Don’t worry, there might be a way to recover your suspended Instagram account.

Users posted screenshots of errors that showed when they tried to log in to their accounts. Many screenshots displayed the message “We suspended your account on October 31, 2022” and “your account violated community guidelines.”

Some of the errors also said, “if we can’t confirm your account, it will be permanently disabled.”

A guide to recover your Instagram suspended account

We all need Instagram to update the daily happenings of our life and check up on our followers. With the random mass suspension, many people have been trying to reach out to Instagram support to help them recover their accounts.

It looks like a temporary issue but if you are someone who needs their account back promptly, you can try your luck at these steps.

Submit an appeal to Instagram

According to Instagram Help Center, you can submit an appeal for a wrongful account suspension. If you see the notification of a disabled account, you can open the app again and enter your login username and password. After that, you can follow the on-screen instructions.

However, as the outage is a different issue, many users are seeing the below error when trying to log in.

Recover through email

Some users have tried to recover their accounts through email but Instagram shows incorrect password errors to some users. Others said they are not receiving any emails from Instagram despite when trying to retrieve their account.

Additionally, you can use this link to contact their Help Center.

Instagram says your account is not banned

Instagram has acknowledged the mass suspension issue and said they are working to resolve it. The PR team of Instagram with the username @InstagramComms tweeted their statement.

Twitter is flooded with reports of affected users who are urging Instagram to fix the issue as soon as possible. It looks like the best thing to do right now is to wait for Instagram to fix the problem. Some users reported that they got their accounts back without doing anything.
