Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Showing Green Line Issue Reported

Galaxy S26

A video about the green line appearing on a Galaxy S26 Ultra screen has surfaced online. This display issue has plagued older Samsung Galaxy flagships in the past. However, the claim about the flagship is currently raising eyebrows as people are already questioning the authenticity of the video.

Reports about the Galaxy S26 Ultra green line

According to a viral video on X, the latest Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has reportedly shown a green line. The video clearly shows the front and back of the phone, proving that it’s an actual Galaxy S26 Ultra. At a glance, one can visibly see the line on the left side of the phone, which makes it more convincing.

However, some users have refused to believe the claim of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra showing a green line. Many believe the video is fake or edited. Reply from one X user, Daniel Scuteri, analyzes the possibility of the video being fake or edited. He says that the text on screen is still visible through the line, which suggests the video is edited. Obviously, a true green line would totally obscure all of the text beneath it. Also, he argued that the letters are still visible in the shared video, even through the line. Furthermore, he also added that the intensity of the line varies significantly. In one frame, it appears light and thin. The line, in another frame, appears a little darker and thicker.

In another post, a user just bought the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra about a month ago. And he got the green line on the Galaxy S26 Ultra after updating the device to One UI 8.5. He also noted that the green line also showed in system screens and didn’t go away even after several restarts. With these claims, the user has already shot themselves in the foot, as Samsung rolled out the One UI 8.5 pre-installed. So, there wouldn’t be a need to update the phone in the first place.

Is the user telling the truth?

Personally, I am not sure whether the user is actually telling the truth about the S26 Ultra showing green lines. However, if this is true, this might actually be the first Galaxy S26 Ultra with the green line. And a major blow to the Samsung flagship phone that was released on March 11, just over one month ago.

On the other hand, if this is just another fake video for clicks, it obviously is not the first. In March, there was also chatter that claimed the S26 Ultra screen shows a green line. However, the image provided then was plainly a Photoshop work. And the OP made it clear that it was only an illustration of the question asked on Reddit.
