Gunfire reported at Plymouth Middle School in Minnesota

Following an incident Monday morning, a large number of law enforcement officers were dispatched to Plymouth Middle School.

According to WCCO’s Christiane Cordero, some parents have arrived at the school after receiving calls or texts from students indicating that a gun had been discharged at the school. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

According to StarTribune, Police said that they are responding to reports of gunfire at Plymouth Middle School.

Some parents on social media reported that there was a shooting.

One parent wrote on Facebook, “Shooting at Plymouth middle school if you got kids that goes there check on them ASAP!! I’m on my way to pick mines up”

According to police, a student bought a gun to school, triggering a lockdown.

As per police, all students are safe.

“We are aware of a serious incident at Plymouth Middle School this morning. All students are safe, however, the school remains in lockdown. We’re still gathering information. For families who wish to pick up their Plymouth Middle School students this morning, please go to the east parking lot of Armstrong High School for reunification. Parents can pick their students up there. Please do not call the school at this time. Thank you.” wrote Robbinsdale Area Schools on Facebook page.
