Israel army confirms killing Hezbollah commander in Lebanon strike

Gallant tells US Israel has 'duty' to expand Rafah ground assault

The Israeli military on Thursday confirmed it had killed a Hezbollah commander, his deputy and another fighter in an air strike in Lebanese territory.

Ali al-Debs and the other two fighters were killed Wednesday night “in a precise air strike carried out by an IDF (Israeli army) aircraft on a Hezbollah military structure in Nabatiyeh”, the military said in a statement.
