Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, maker of the popular Ozempic and Wegovy anti-obesity drugs, said Thursday it had been hit been hit by a cybersecurity incident resulting in data being leaked.
The company said in a statement there had been “unauthorised access to a limited number of internal IT systems” and “certain non-public data” had been leaked.
Novo Nordisk said some of its internal IT systems had been taken offline but added: “Our core business operations are not impacted and remain up and running.”
