Multiple users have reported their Paypal app freezes or crashes while transferring money to the bank.

Reports of PayPal app freezing while transferring money

The Paypal app bug limits users from sending money to their bank accounts.

“The same thing happened to me. So I go to PayPal on the browser now whenever I need to take out money the app is bugged at the moment,” a user tweeted.

“@PayPal @AskPayPal I keep trying to transfer money to my bank and every time I try the app freezes up if I go to the website and do it only it tried to change its cryptocurrency,” another user tweeted.

Based on reports, the problem arose after the recent v8.26.0 update. Due to the issue, PayPal users are frustrated that they can’t currently unable to transfer money to their respective bank accounts or pay bills.

“@AskPayPal Good morning. Ever since the last app update, I’ve been unable to transfer funds to my bank account. When I select that option, the app freezes,” a user’s complaint read.

The ‘keep money in PayPal’ feature is still working fine but the ‘transfer to bank’ option is making the app crash. Affected users resorted to deleting and reinstalling the app but it has not worked for them.

Potential workaround and new update

While PayPal has not acknowledged the issue with the app, they suggested some basic troubleshooting tips that can be a temporary fix to the issue.

For now, users can try to use Paypal from a web browser on their phone or their laptop.

“The same thing happened to me omg. I just did it by opening PayPal on safari and it worked it was so damn annoying,” a tweet read.

The new update of Paypal on iOS with v8.27.0 has not fixed any bugs. Some users are still facing issues with the app while transferring money to their bank accounts.

A user tweeted: “We are still unable to use your app because of the freezing from transfer payments. Can you please say what’s going on with that or if there’s a time it will be fixed?”
