Pentagon's ex UFO chief 'gagged' from revealing 'alien' secrets, calls for release of 'bombshell' files

The former director of the US Department of Defence’s UFO task force, Sean Kirkpatrick, has made claims that he was silenced from disclosing top-secret information about alien life, Sun reported.

The Pentagon’s ex-UFO chief urges release of ‘Bombshell’ files for public eyes

Kirkpatrick demanded the release of a variety of significant “bomshell” files so that the public can truly understand what is happening.

He mentioned that his bosses at the Pentagon “gagged” him from sharing the truth with the public on several occasions, even though he had evidence to back up his discoveries. The physicist, who held the position of UFO chief for a year, expressed that he believed his department was not permitted to disclose sufficient information about unidentified aircraft.

Dr Kirkpatrick explained: “There was a very strong concern to engage in the public discourse as often as I thought we needed to.

“The fact that they (the Pentagon leadership) can’t figure out how to get at that message without concern for spillage into other areas has always been a frustrating point.”

The ex-UFO chief also believed that the US government should have provided clearer explanations of its efforts to investigate apparent UFO sightings. He expressed concerns that the lack of transparency could fuel conspiracy theories, leading some to believe that there might be some truth to their speculations about extraterrestrial life.

Pentagon responds to UFO secrecy claims as calls for disclosure grow

Pentagon spokesperson Eric Pahon denied claims that the Pentagon had halted press conferences on the matter, Dailystar reported. He added: “Standard procedure within the department is to have public engagements cleared by higher officials. To our knowledge, any media engagement Dr Kirkpatrick recommended or requested was approved.”

However, the secrecy surrounding UFOs gained renewed attention last year when retired Major David Grusch, a former Air Force intelligence official, accused the government of engaging in a significant cover-up.

Grusch claimed that the government had been concealing top-secret information about a decades-long program aimed at recovering and reverse-engineering alien spacecraft.

This revelation follows a plea from a leading psychologist urging the UK government to cease keeping its UFO information classified. He was concerned that withholding information from the public would only serve to further promote unverified agendas.
