Unconfirmed rumors circulating on social media suggest that Chinese president Xi Jinping may have had a stroke during Third Plenum meetings, Forex Live reported.

Reporter Jennifer Zeng posts about Chinese President Xi Jinping’s alleged stroke

These reports originated from a YouTube blog by a reporter named Jennifer Zeng, who has previously spread rumors about a coup and Xi’s arrest. Despite her track record, these rumors have been circulating on Chinese and Russian social media for several hours now.

Contrary to current reports, netizens argue that claims of Xi suffering from a stroke are mere rumors and lack credibility, given China’s secretive nature, Republic World reported.

“It’s just a rumor and we probably won’t have any reasonable indication of its credibility until months later due to China’s secretive nature,” a user said in a post on Reddit.

“He’s fine. People like him don’t croak early. Whatever is broken they can readily harvest and replace,” another user said replying to the post.

“I do remember he was having some sort of health issues a while back and he was opting to use traditional Chinese medical treatments, could this be a result of that choice?” another posted.

Mentioning Xi’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, one user said, “Putin has got to be worried.” “Just take some Lianhua Qingwen and hot water, he’ll be fine after,” a netizen said on Reddit.

Similar rumors, like the persistent speculation about Putin’s death, tend to surface from time to time.

Updates surrounding Xi Jinping and China’s future policy direction

Earlier in 2021, Xi reportedly suffered from a cerebral aneurysm and was hospitalized, as reported by ANI, citing foreign media sources.

“It is learnt that he preferred to be treated with traditional Chinese medicines rather than going for surgery, which softens the blood vessels and shrinks aneurysm,” it said.

These speculations arose after Xi Jinping avoided meeting foreign leaders from the onset of COVID-19 until the Beijing Winter Olympics.

In current news, attention is focused on updates from the Third Plenum and China’s strategies to address growing economic concerns, particularly among young people. The meetings are set to conclude on Thursday, outlining China’s policy direction for the next five years and beyond.
