Russia supports two-state solution to Israel-Palestine conflict: Putin

Regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict, President of Russia, Vladimir Putin has stated that his country supports the “two-state solution.”

According to Xinhua, Putin said during a meeting with visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Sochi that the current conflict between Israel and the Palestinians must be resolved in accordance with previously adopted UN Security Council resolutions.

Putin emphasised that the problem must be resolved in an equitable manner that takes into account the interests of all people living in the region.

“We, of course, will work in this direction, no matter how difficult it is,” he said
