Southwest CEO believes businesses should not impose vaccine mandate on their employees

Southwest Airlines CEO in an interview on CNBC said, he never wanted a Covid vaccine mandate, but Biden forced his hand.

Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly told CNBC in an interview on Tuesday that he believes companies should not force Covid vaccines for their employees.

“I’ve never been in favor of corporations imposing that kind of a mandate. I’m not in favor that,” Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly told CNBC on Tuesday.

Southwest CEO comments on Tuesday come as Southwest faces criticism for widespread flight cancellations in recent days, as well as a sharp drop in the company’s stock price on Monday.
