The number of Spanish victims of the twin earthquakes that have devastated Venezuela has risen to three dead and 99 missing, Spain’s foreign minister said Friday.

“The number of Spaniards who have died in the earthquake has now climbed to three… and the number of Spaniards we cannot locate has risen to 99,” Jose Manuel Albares said in comments shared by his office.

“There are also four Spaniards who are located but are currently under the rubble of the earthquake, and we are working so that the rescue teams can reach them,” he added.
