According to Khaama Press, officials from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, ruled by Taliban, have stated that they will form a special battalion of suicide bombers as part of their army.

Zabiullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s Deputy Minister of Information and Culture and spokesperson, stated that the battalion will be part of their special forces and will operate under the Defence Ministry.

According to Zabiullah Mujahid, the battalion will be used for special operations.

Concerning women and former Taliban army officers, Mujahid stated that women will be recruited based on need, and specialists from the previous Afghan army will also be given a role in the future army.

Previously, the IEA’s Defence Ministry stated that it is working to build a 100,000-member army that will be fully equipped.

The IEA is said to have sent suicide bombers to Afghanistan’s northern border with Tajikistan, but this has not been confirmed officially.

Suicide attacks had been one of the Taliban’s most successful tactics over the last two decades, both against Americans and Afghan security forces.
