British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday accused Iran of wanting “to harm British Jews”, in the wake of the latest attack targeting the country’s Jewish community.

“We need stronger powers to tackle the malign threat posed by states like Iran, because we know for a fact that they want to harm British Jews,” he said in a statement delivered from Downing Street.

It came the day after two Jewish men were stabbed in the street in north London and following repeated warnings by Starmer and other officials that hostile states were intent on using proxies to conduct attacks in the UK.
