US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Wednesday that Washington is expecting an investigation update on imported aircraft and parts this month, with plans to set a framework for tariffs of such commercial imports.

“We expect, probably by the end of the month, we’ll have an analysis, and we’ll set the standard for aircraft part tariffs,” Lutnick told a congressional hearing. “The key is to protect our industry and make sure those who trade with us treat us fairly.”
