Venezuela election featured ‘exceptional manipulation:’ regional body

Venezuela’s presidential election was marred by “exceptional manipulation,” the Organization of American States said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the regional body said that the government of President Nicolas Maduro, who was declared the winner of a third term on Sunday, “applied a repressive scheme, complemented by actions aimed at completely distorting the electoral result.”
