On a channel’s page, this feature is typically located near the subscriber count. However, recent reports show that YouTube channel video counts are not showing up for creators.

Based on reports, it seems the issue started a few hours ago. Affected users took to social media to express their frustration about the sudden removal of the metric. If you don’t know, the channel video count allows creators to gauge their channel size and history. It basically provides users with a snapshot of the total content they produced over time.
Now that the YouTube channel video counts are not showing up, creators want to know the way forward. As mentioned earlier, this feature normally appears right below the subscriber count. One of the affected users on Reddit recently shared a post showing how the feature appeared before and now.
On X, another user responded to a post by expressing their frustrations about the current situation. The user, @uniruby_777, said: “They literally removed the core base users rely on to check a channel’s size and history. You can still check the video counter in the channel description on the site, but not on mobile. How sad and stupid.”
Google Has Yet To Acknowledge This Issue
With all these reports, does it mean creators will no longer be able to view their video counts? Is that the end for this metric? The answer is certainly no.
According to some users, you can still view this metric on the desktop version of the app. Although the YouTube channel video counts are not showing up under the subscriber count, you can check the “More Info” section. However, you should understand that even this alternative solution doesn’t work on mobile apps.
So far, Google hasn’t yet spoken about the disappearance of the channel video counts. As such, we’re still unsure if the new development is a permanent UI update or just a limited server-side test. We’ll continue to keep an eye on this situation, so you can always check back for updates.
